Dragon Gate Chinese Restaurant in Colorado Springs

We’ve been gone for 20 years and came back. Dragon Gate still has fresh food, no MSG and consistently great food!

This place was AMAZING. My husband and I got wonderful service here. The tea was great and the food was outstanding. Nothing but good things to say. Also a very relaxing and comfortable environment. Keep up the great work guys!

The food is awesome. Great flavors, great prices, fast delivery. Will recommend to anyone who loves great Chinese food. I was highly impressed. Will order from them again.

Honestly I haven’t been inside the restaurant so I can’t say what the service is like there but, when I went to order out the lady was extremely rude to me while I was ordering. She seemed extreamly upset and irritated that I had even called her. Once I got the food I noticed that they didn’t put any seasonings in the dish and my boyfriend noticed the same thing with his own. I won’t be going here again I would much would rather go to the China village down the street.

I love this place! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was super friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is nice and calm. Not to mention how clean and beautiful the restaurant itself is. This is going to be one of my regular stops from now on.

This is my favorite place to eat. I normally order for pickup/doordash and I'm always happy with the food. I feel like I get my moneys-worth eating here.

Prices were great, we actually looked at the reviews and decided to sit in and eat. My family and I used the restroom before sitting down to eat. I have NEVER been in a more disgusting restroom in my life. I would rather pop a squat outside than to go back to that filth hole. We were so disturbed by the looks of the restroom we left before we got our food. If there was a negative points section I would pick -5.

This place has been a tradition for my dad and me for many years, we remember when the building used to be blue. The food has been consistently good and the staff, friendly. Means even more to me since dad's moved and we go together when he's in town. I eat every bite, and that's rare.

Food is really good but customer service is horrible...the young lady in front desk has a horrible service and bad attitude to serve or explain the menu, I really love the food but when I stop by to buy a togo food her bad customer service made me to avoid buy anything.."We pay for our food and we deserve a good service, we don't ask for free!!"😡🤬

Quite, clean, courteous and amazing portions for a great price. Could be different when more people are seated? But having nearly the entire dining to our self was superb and food tasted quality. Sesame beef for the win!

As a colorado springs native, I been going here for years. The food is always fresh and great tasting. When dining in, the same lady has served me for years and she's always pleasant. The atmosphere is always quiet and enjoyable... yeah the building is a bit old, but the food and staff are great!

The food is always flavorful and delicious. I always get takeout now, but the tea and service is usually decent. It's no frills and easy Chinese.

Let's face it... the staff are inconsistently friendly there, but the food is always fresh. At least the goldfish seem to acknowledge and appreciate your patronage. But seriously, I really like the food! The soup is good and the combination plates are very well seasoned (and, yes, hardy, too). Sidebar: My only recommendation is to avoid the bathrooms. They tell the age of the building.

Fried wontons are the bomb

We ordered some combo plates (soup, egg roll, wonton, 2 scoops of rice and main dish), and the serving size was generous and priced nice. The food was great, the service was very friendly, and the restaurant was clean.

I really like this place. Wasn't very busy during lunchtime, so it was quiet. The exterior of the building is kinda offputting but inside the atmosphere is nice. The food was great. For $6 I got a huge plate of general Tso's chicken, rice, a fried cheese wanton, an egg roll, and a small bowl on soup. The lady serving was super friendly. My best experience so far.

Best Chinese food for lunch. Combo meal is the same price as fast food and no line, so it takes about the same amount of time. And the complimentary pot of tea is delicious!

Food is always good. I think their portions got a little smaller though over the last year. But it seems like everybody's portions got a little smaller over the last year. But still very tasty. And they're very hard-working family unit. I've been going there for years

That is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. The food is amazing the service impeccable. I never pass up a chance to stop and enjoy. One specific memory was when my daughter was a small baby, she was very fussy so I asked to take our food to go shortly after ordering, instead of sending us on our way the waitress took my baby and carries her around with her while we ate. Talk about above and beyond !

Food was ok; however it took forever to get out food delivered to our table. Didn't really care for the egg drop soup; I don't like sweet peas in my soup. The General Tso was good; however I asked for extra spicy and it was not spicy.

Absolutely loved the food and 70s style ambiance! ...from its Mandarin Beef to Its crackling soup...which actually makes the sound given fried rice! Went to Colorado Springs for the first time to meet up with my grammar school best friend from St. Aloysius school in Newark Nee Jersey of all places! We had not seen each other for 47 years!!!!!!

The staff at Dragon Gate know me on a first name basis. In the eight years of getting takeout at least weekly, they have only made a mistake on my order once. For a solid dinner on a budget with generous portions, this is a definite go-to. They have been in business for more than 30 years and show no signs of slowing. Nice folks and tasty, MSG-free food.

I've only ever been here once but the employees are so nice! Sometimes I get easily tongue-tied. Whenever I was trying to place my order I didn't know how to explain specific things that I wanted but she completely understood what I was talking about. She really took her time with me and the results that were delivered were fantastic! The food was great and wasn't overly greasy or salted! The experience with welcoming, friendly, the food was again fantastic, and the restaurant was super clean. I'll come here again sometime in the future because I absolutely adored it!

I ordered Lemon Chicken and I expected actual lemon flavor on my chicken. But the chicken tasted more skin than chicken and the lemon sauce ruined its flavor. The steamed rice tasted better than the chicken and that speaks volume.

Was decent prices for lunch. Cheese wonton were made ahead of time I think for lunch menu. Almost get 4 stars for the combo lowmain because it was one of the better places in town to get it. Service was good and very friendly.

Best Chinese food in Springs by far! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Dragon Gate by chance after a long hike. We were starving and excited for Chinese food and boy did this place deliver! The food always comes out HOT and FRESH and the staff are always so friendly. It’s quiet and cozy, and although the building is older, I’ve always felt comfortable at the restaurant. If you are looking for a restaurant with delicious food and generous portions at a great price, this is the place for you!

First time there . . . very tasty

A decent Chinese restaurant, but they don't serve enough rice with your order. Also they would serve tea at the beginning while you waited, but they discontinued that. Over all they are quick and give excellent service. Would recommend going here to anyone who likes Chinese food.
